The famous Mauser bolt system was initially introduced in the Mauser Geweher Model 1898 rifle. This particular system was the most common and favored bolt-action systems operation in the world in its time. It was particularly popular amongst the hunters in North American and Europe up until the mid-twentieth century with the introduction of the modern hunting rifle operations system. I digress, the Mauser was in fact more powerful than its British Lee-Enfield adversarial counterpart, with its dual-locking component.
